So the sad thing with this is the fact that Val does not deny it at all. She knows she wasn’t a great mother. She knows she’s still a walking disaster. She also knows she wouldn’t have been as bad had Kit not died. Because Kit balanced her out a lot more than most people realize. Because losing Kit nearly killed her. She blames Kit for how much of a mess she was because she couldn’t cope with his death but she takes the full blame for Casey. She can’t take full blame for Willow though because Willow loved Kit so much and she never got used to the hole in her own heart that losing her daddy had caused. But Val damn sure knows she didn’t make matters any better or easier.
