“Mostly, yeah. Friends pretty much last as long as you want them to. I mean, as long as they aren’t completely mortal. Downside of humans is they have a shorter life span, but that doesn’t mean they don’t make good friends anyway, even if your time with them is a little limited.” Lola explained, not sure if she was helping or making things worse with that, but she figured being honest with Talyse was at least a good foundation to build a friendship on that would last.

The only person that really came to mind that fit that description was Yin, and he was more of a weird guardian than anything. So much so that he had never even used the term friend before either. “Never had…” she mumbled, gaze falling back to the floor as she shook her head to make her hair fall over her face once more. It seemed like it was something everyone was supposed to have and it made her feel a little ashamed to have never had that. As if there was something wrong with her.

“Then I feel sorry for him if that’s the case. Almost forgot not all of us down here are permanent exiles, but it has been… what, four, maybe five millennia? I lost count.”

“Like two hundred and fifty-ish for me. Of course, I’m younger than you so it took me longer to get fed up with the shit. Not sure Cassiel’s gonna make that plunge like..ever.”

“If it’s possible, my big brother will definitely know how to do it. He’s really good with things like that. Even better than me and the rest of my brothers.” Beth promised with a smile.

The fox was still hesitant, but he did take a step closer to her again. He wanted, needed to know if any of his family was still alive. If Luna had managed to survive. That was all that mattered to him.

Gonna try to chuck a few more things into the queue before my sleeping pills fully kick. Doing a 10am to 6pm so I really won’t be around until like 2am tomorrow (because I am gonna get home from work and pass the ever living fuck out)
