          PSA on blog
policing.

          Don’t do it. Just
don’t.

What someone writes on THEIR blog is THEIR business alone. What they roleplay is nobody’s business but
THEIRS. What subject is being represented, light or dark, is no one’s
business but for both consensual partners writing together, and it
does NOT mean either party condones what actions or subjects are
written. Where the hell has this mentality even COME from? How do you
live
life outside?  You must not be reading a lot of books because
they’re chuckful of dark content and guess what? The rest of the
world, for the most part, understand it stays between the pages. You have a
CHOICE to consume what appears in front of you or not. YOU chose to be there. YOU chose to read their threads, pages, etc. If you don’t agree with a book’s contents, you’ll put it back down and won’t buy it. Are you gonna set the library on fire because one of their books talked about a subject you don’t agree with because SURELY it means they’re condoning what’s represented in said book? No. I didn’t think so. (If you said yes, please get yourself checked, that’s not normal behavior). No one is holding a gun to your
head. Stop acting like you were forced into reading someone’s thread.

“But V, this person’s content distresses me when it appears on my dash.” I have a very
simple solution for you: UNFOLLOW. BLOCK. It is no one’s job to
babysit your viewing. Certainly not THEIRS. It’s YOUR responsibility
to be careful with YOUR viewing. And for the love of GOD, you have
the ability to actually blacklist what may make you uncomfortable or
trigger you on this hellsite: USE IT. It’s not an option you’ll
find often, if at all, anywhere else. You’re LUCKY to even have these options.

          “Right well, I
went on this one blog and the backstory talked about triggering content
for me, so they must be into that stuff. They’re gross.”
I’m
sorry. I truly am, because that’s certainly not fun for you and I
understand that. But attacking the one who wrote the backstory, however, isn’t gonna make you a
big savior, it’ll make you look like an asshole. Life is full of
triggers and uncomfortable things. Not everything can be controlled.
Unfortunately, in this case, it can’t
be controlled. (Assuming there were no warnings on the blog, either on the main page or their rules). Your best option? LEAVE THE PAGE. Again, there are
many types of characters in the world, some with darker backstories
than others. It’s what makes them who they are. You have a right
not to agree with it, and you also have every right to step away.

          It’s not your job
to come in with your tumblr police badge and go on ANON of all damned
things, and try to bully the writer into submitting to your little
power trip. Yeah, that’s what I just called it: a power trip,
because that’s really all it is, most of the time, targeting someone for brownie
points
. Well guess what? You just look like someone who can’t keep
their nose out of someone else’s business. If you don’t like
something, don’t write it. Let others write what they want.

           Tldr; don’t police
people’s blogs. It’s no one’s job to babysit your viewing
content. Unfollow. Block. Blacklist. There’s even the option on
mobile now. But don’t harass muns and their partners because you
don’t like what YOU read of YOUR own accord.

          Thank you.

“Why does it matter? It’s not real, right?” Erys inquired with a vague air of insouciance. She wasn’t going to call either Grayson or Chayton a liar, but she wouldn’t stop anyone tripping themselves up trying to deny anything either.

“Righ’.” He looked a little more relieved when she seemed to just go along with it. It didn’t even matter to him if she was lying or not in believing him. “Jus’ wan’ed ta thank ya proper for no’ callin’ the cops on him.”

Another fevered whine caught in Zayde’s throat at the growl, the boy panting hard as he already drew nearer to release. If Devin kept up the current pace and carried on making him shiver like that, he wouldn’t hold out much longer than a few more seconds.

Devin growled again before nipping at Zayde’s neck, hellbent on pushing him over that edge. The more relaxed he was, the easier everything else would be on him.

Callie had waited too long for this. She knew her reasons had been valid. She’d known Luna’s interest was genuine enough to put her in danger of getting hurt, but wasn’t sure if she’d been serious enough for the amount of work this would take. But apparently she was and Callie felt like an idiot for taking so long to realize.

Slowly, the fox eased back, breathless, smirk still firmly in place. Her eyes had shifted, one a pale blue and the other a brilliant orange, but she didn’t care. All that mattered was this. “I think that’s something we should definitely do a little more often.”

A frustrated sigh escaped him. “You don’t get to decided that, though, Konis. It’s my time and my effort and I choose who is and isn’t worth it. And you are. There’s nothing you or anyone else can say to convince me otherwise. Frankly, I’m going to be immediately biased against anyone who would have poor things to say about you.”

“That would be literally everyone else that has ever met me.” It bothered her, sure, but she knew the fault rested firmly upon herself. “And I still get at least some say since it’s me you’re so goddamn fixated on and I don’t want you to end up being just another thing I feel guilt over.”

Almost as if on cue, the doorknob jiggled. The sound was followed by a loud “ugh” the delicate sound of metal being clinked together. Why Jeff had taught the girl to pick locks at such a young age, Dev would never understand.

“I guess the party’s over,” he laughed, refusing to untangle from Lex quite yet.

“Aww,” Lex pouted, letting out a feigned huff and snuggling into Dev again for the last few seconds before the door would come flying open and they’d be ambushed by a small girl who liked to ask a lot of questions.

Devereux heard the moment the lock clicked over and, for a moment, he was grateful they were wearing clothes. Explaining anything else to Cammie was more than he wanted to do.

“Lex! You gotta sit next me for breakfast and breakfast time is now,” the girl demanded, standing in the doorway with her hands on her hips. She had taken a shining to her brother’s boyfriend, much to the slight annoyance of said brother.

He looked back at the photo, frowning further. “You’re right. It is small. Bigfoot spotting, my ass,” he mumbled, eyes rolling before he flipped to the next image. “…I kind of wish it had been a kodiak. I feel like it’s usually a grizzly or a black bear and kodiaks are way closer in size.”

The girl stared at him for a moment, confused at his words. “Do you want people to get eaten? Because Kodiaks are aggressive,” she pointed out, really hoping she had misunderstood where he was going with the topic.

The sound that came out of Zayde wasn’t even remotely close to anything resembling words, but a flailed hand suggested he was attempting to convince the other that he would be just fine wherever the other chose to leave him, even if it meant propping him up behind a dumpster in an alley with the hope nobody would mug his ass while he was out cold.

If he’d been able to think or speak in an intelligible manner, he might have at least been able to communicate that last place he would ever want to go, but since the bouncers knew who he was and who his father happened to be, it was likely that that would be where they’d advise Chayton to take him, regardless of whether he wanted to go or not.

The bouncer he had spoken to had given him an address, but Chayton knew the place, knew the reputation, and he sincerely doubted it would be a wise move. Part of him wondered if maybe that’s why the other was so royally fucked up. He knew he probably would be too if half of what he had heard was true.

“Come on, I know somewhere we can take ya,” he grumbled, moving to lift the other again. At least his hotel room would be quiet and out of sight of prying eyes, even if he didn’t like the idea of having a stranger there.

“There’s a time and a place for it. You should know that.” Yin made plenty of deals being nice and charming.

“If you do crossroads.” A position that no one trusted Robert to do. He didn’t have the patience for it. He needed things to be done either in a longer setting or instantly, he wasn’t the best at convincing someone on the fence in a matter of moments.
