Things that probably don’t work::Putting kittens in time out when they do things they’re not supposed to
Things I’m doing anyway::Putting Lex in time out because he won’t stay off the top of the hutch (where my literal antique porcelain doll is) despite knowing he’s not allowed up there.
“It’s okay. It’s not your fault,” he repeated soothingly, just wanting to hold onto her and make up for how much he’d missed her.
“Come on, let’s get you inside. You look like you need to rest and it’s going to be bad enough when Devin finds out I’m here without putting you under even more stress.”
“I’m fine,” she protested, knowing damn well that her legs were still having trouble holding her up for long periods of time. Or even normal lengths of time. But she didn’t want him to worry any more than he had been forced to.
