Still have a few hours to be on but anxiety and depression are kicking my ass today, so I think I’mma just go to bed for the next 11 hours.
Day: October 15, 2018
“Alright, I’ll take your word for it, but if I think for a minute you’re still not warm enough, I’m gonna turn it off. Deal?”
Matt wouldn’t take no for an answer, even if he had to make Tucker think it was his idea instead.
“Don’t see how you’ll be able to with me wrapped around you like a sloth,” he pointed out, having absolutely no intentions of letting go of Matt for even a moment.
Of course he knew what his brother was trying to pull, but he didn’t really care. He was comfortable for the moment.
“You damn well know you did,” he returned, holding her gaze and giving her jaw a tight squeeze. His strength was human, but the grip wasn’t weak. These were hands that knew how to deal damage, had been doing it for hundreds of years. He released his grip, hand dropping to his side. “You can’t go about scaring off customers or there’s no point in keeping you around the shop. If I have to come up with another use for you, it likely won’t be one where you keep breathing.”
His grip tore a pained whine from her lips, but she was otherwise still until he let go. Trying to pull away would have only caused more damage, something she knew from experience. “All I was doing was agreeing with the cat,” she protested, rubbing at her jaw gently. She knew it was going to be bruised, knew she was lucky he wasn’t anything that could literally shatter her jaw by grabbing it the way he did, but that didn’t make it hurt any less.
