Day: April 7, 2018
[text; oz] i’m the nice sister by default. i could probably punch you in the face and still be nicer than wil or case.
[text; oz] i don’t think i wanna see what you’ve learned from willow. it sounds kind of terrifying.
[text: Far] I dunno, Casey’s never punched me in the face before.
[text: Far] I do know how to assemble, load, and shoot a gun in under 5 minutes, so there’s that? But she taught me that when I was like 5.
About to head to the store with my cousin (gotta get me some ac/dc panties to match my boxers) and then I’m going to be heading home for the night. Won’t be on too late tonight because I open tomorrow, but I get off at 5pm and have the following two days off, so I will be around.

“I’m hoping that even if it goes to shit, you won’t have to deal with Reyes.” He wasn’t sure it would do much good but maybe, just maybe, even if he decided to kill Chase, he’d leave everyone else alone. “I know how to keep a secret, Delia.” After all, he’d kept August’s nature hidden from his family. “I’m trying to protect the kids. They need to grow up without us constantly waiting for everything to fall to shit.”
“You better know what you doin’, boy,” was the only advice she had on that topic. Her gaze drifted back to the leopard practically cowering behind the hunter. Even if Chase didn’t have the same feelings, it was only too obvious the cat was in love with him. “I’m taking them to my pack and I cannot afford any hunters to find that place. We have kids there too.”
“Then maybe we can suck at that together?” he murmured, trying to put a little humour back into the situation to make her smile again.
He chewed his lip for a moment before letting out a heavy.
“Just… promise me something, okay? Promise that you won’t just put up with my bullshit. If I’m pissing you off or being an asshole, call me out on it. I don’t wanna be some toxic piece of shit, whether I realise that’s how I’m being or not. You deserve better than that, so make me be better and hold me accountable for my shit when I mess up. Deal?”
“I suck at pretty much everything right now so deal.”
A faint smile touched her lips, but it still wavered a little. Hope wasn’t something Sable felt a lot of and she was trying to be as realistic over this as possible. There was nothing she wanted to work out more than being with him.
“When have I ever had a problem calling anyone out on their shit?” she pointed out, taking a stiff step forward. She had been standing too long, but she didn’t care. “You’ve never been toxic towards me. I lived in a toxic environment as a kid, remember? There is literally nothing you could do that would be worse than that. Hell, I don’t think you could even manage half as bad as that.”
“I’ll be fine,” he mumbled, trying to give her some small reassurance.
There was no point in trying to argue the point. Gabriel conceded that, yes, it shouldn’t have happened, but it had and now the best thing they could do about it was just move on from that point and try not to dwell on everything preceding it.
Her fingers played over the top of his hand before she turned it over to trace patterns over his palm. They were ones she had seen her mother trace over patients’ skin, runes of some sort, she said they were supposed to help with healing.
“You better be. I don’t want to annoy you with a ouija board for eternity.”
