The way the wolf spoke held a thoughtful tone that bordered almost on philosophical. It wasn’t very easy for him to think from a mortal perspective with how few he spent time around these days, but he could often find enough of an analogy to help him understand most things still.

The pain he felt over it all was nearly palpable as he shifted his sister in his arms. She had deserved so much better than any of this and he had no idea how to fix it. No idea how to put her to rest without completely destroying her and it was killing him a little more every day to watch her grow more and more feral.

Shockingly, it’s Cord. Cord is always going to be my favorite and only partly because of how many years I have spent piecing that back story together. Which is the reason I keep finding a way to bring that smartass back.
