Trent shrugged nonchalantly, conceding the point.

“I suppose it doesn’t help with that tangerine-faced shitgibbon sitting in the White House. Hell, if the security detail protecting him wasn’t tighter than a nuns ass, I might even volunteer to do something about that.”

She smiled wide at that, the image not a terribly pleasant one.

“See? Violence runs in your blood no matter how calm and collected you put yourself out to be. Everyone in this bloodline has a potential for doing awful things.”

She nodded. “Good people. They’ve helped me out a lot in life.” She wouldn’t have survived without them really. “New York, maybe? It’s usually easier to hide out in big cities.” And she’d heard a rumor that Max had gone back there and she was missing the vampire.

An overwhelming enthusiasm took hold of her at the mention of New York. “I live New York! Mostly. Come here with family. Live with lots people,” she babbled, bouncing from one foot to the other like a hyper child.

babyitsmagic:

“I haven’t quite decided yet. Probably going to go visit some old friends before picking a new place to live.” It had been a while since she’d visited the elves she’d first met on earth and they were the closest thing to home that she had.

“Nice friends?” She was still getting used to the concept of friends and she was terribly intrigued with the idea that some people have had friends for so long. “Where go live?”

babyitsmagic:

She shrugged. “I was never good at it and wasn’t all that interested in it either.” It might have been useful to learn, but she tried to avoid regretting too many of her decisions. “Not everyone has a knack for it.”

“Ask for charms?” She knew some of her cousins had to wear them to play mortal, it didn’t seem like they were all that hard to come by to her.

babyitsmagic:

She nodded, choosing not to ask what the other half was. If the woman wanted to share, she would have. “It seems excessive to find magic to make me look older.”

Talyse shook her head. That wasn’t what she meant in terms of magic. “Why no you magic?”
