“Not got much of an interest in killing anyone unless they give me good reason to.” he answered with a shrug and a small laugh.
“And as for anyone not wanting me around, you’d be better off asking my mother about her reasons for that than me. Stopped trying to figure out her reasons for anything when I was still a kid.”
His laughter made her smile grow, dark eyes sparkling happily. She always did get too attached to people quickly and he was shaping up to be no different on that front.
“Pretty sure that’s her issue, not yours. I mean, when my mom has her episodes, she can get really cruel and it took me a long time to realize it was an issue with her and not because of me. I know it’s probably a different situation, but, still.”
