“I guess?”
Kellen didn’t sound too certain, but of all their family members, Ava had been the one who could at least call around to the house on occasion to fill the fridge with leftovers and sneak him little updates and gifts from the rest of the family so Kellen hadn’t been completely cut off from them growing up.
“I don’t think she would leave Dad completely, no matter how overbearing he can get. I mean, she does genuinely love him. She just hasn’t got it in her to argue with him when he’s in the wrong, and we all know whose fault that is.”
Orion could only shrug at that. He didn’t know Sera, had never even met her, honestly. All he could do was give suggestions that might help, even a little, and hope something stuck.
“Maybe. Or perhaps a little distance here and there will help her forge stronger bonds with someone else that is willing to fight your father on her behalf?”
