“Is this really the time for
an I told you so? What do you want me to say? That you were right? That this
was a mistake? Because you know what, yeah. Maybe you were right. But I
wouldn’t take it back.” Not unless he knew it would mean that Dev survived.
He shrugged a little and leaned his head back against the wall. “Probably the only chance I’m going to get. I mean, I’m dead. I’m literally a ghost with a time limit because your friend says I can’t stay.” He was willing to go, he wanted to see his sister again, but he needed to know Hades was going to be okay. “And maybe you wouldn’t take it back, but I would. I would have taken it all back if it meant you weren’t upset. Because you deserved so much better than a broken dick that just wanted to die.”
