There was a split second of surprise before he shook his head with a laugh.
“Well, normally I don’t got a demon round to notice.” Crossing his arms Shea tapped his fingers in deliberate movements. “Not sure, couple a days, a week maybe.”
Outside the car door slammed shut, Shea’s jaw tensed as Harley bounced in, she stared at Cord, slowing down and moving a bit closer to her dad.
“I didn’t tell ya to come in. Fact I told ya to stay in the car.”
“I wanted to see the demon,” She whispered, not taking her eyes of Cordae.
“Most folk that end up here know it’s demon owned and run,” she pointed out, not upset in the slightest. It was always curious when magic users appear. After all, there was only one actual witch that lived there and she was family.
Before she had a chance to say anything more, the car door slammed and she lifted a brow at him before laughing. “Well ain’t that just like a little one to not listen. Got a few of my own, course they’re all grown now.”
The little girl’s words had the demon slipping out from behind the bar and kneeling to be more at her level. “No need to whisper, I ain’t easy to offend. I’m Cord,” she introduced, ignoring the girl’s father for a moment.
