Theron supposed for a moment that without Hecate’s intervention, he could have stood a good chance of going down that route, lacking any sort of guidance or reason, and turned loose upon the mortal realm. After all, he came from death, so it was in his blood, and the only thing that had given him any moral compass on it was a little nurturing by someone who had his best interests at heart, and that even his mother couldn’t argue against.

“I guess so. I came out a cute little skank and, well, look at dad and my mother.”

Just the thought of it was making her giggle again, eyes bright with amusement. She knew she was a very odd twist of the Fates and she, quite honestly, adored her aunts. Well, at least the two out of three she had actually met with them.

Hypnos smiled weakly at that. He would be glad for some familiarity after what he’d been through.

Leaning against his son, Hypnos sagged under his own weight, stumbling a little as he struggled to keep himself upright until he had reached another place he could rest.

Cay kept a hold of him, supporting his, well, lack of weight pretty easily. It would have probably been easier to carry him, but he knew his dad would never regain any muscle that way.

“I’ll call around once you’re settled, okay?”

It was clear the topic had literally ruffled a few feathers with him, even in his half-drugged state, and Dae would happily let the whole thing drop so it wouldn’t ruin his buzz any further.

“Dae Dae, do you have any good booze? Pills need booze,” she pouted, shifting her weight to hang upside down on the couch. It wasn’t the best idea, but it was her idea of good recreational fun.

“That’s not really what I meant, but yeah, I get that. I just meant that the world would be so much better without all the assholes who are just that way for the sake of it.” she countered, sprawling out next to him.

“Why do people gotta be so mean to each other all the time? Especially over dumb, arbitrary shit like religion, or skin colour, or orientation and shit.”

“Cuz some people are full on brainwashed by their parents and never manage to break the cycle. Look at hunters. A lot of them start as children and never learn that most of us aren’t actually monsters. Look at Andy for example. He was raised by hunters and the only reason he hesitated with his first solo mission was because they sent him to kill a scared kid that wasn’t much younger than himself. Kids tend to live what they learn.”

9 and 12 for Evangeline?

Okay, both of these can be pretty much answered with the same thing.

His name was Rhodes. He was a shifter that had come through and stayed at the bar for a couple of months when Eva was like 16. He was the only guy she had ever been emotionally invested in and he was her first. He broke her heart when he told her had just been using her to pass the time while he was there and he pretty much right after. 

The girl still holds a huge grudge over that boy to the point that she doesn’t let anyone close anymore.

5, 13, 18 Ava

5. She’s saying there’s no such thing as a guilty pleasure. But, because she won’t answer, I’m gonna spill the beans. It’s blood filled dark chocolate. 

13. Definitely really light touches when she can’t touch someone back. 

18. That she’s tried finding Henry’s reincarnation multiple times because she knows his spirit is no longer in the underworld.
