That the girl might be one of his litter mates wasn’t really a comforting thought after the fact she had latched on to Chance of all people, even if Chance was related to them. Matt was well aware of the things he’d done to members of their family in the past, so he still scared the hell out of Matt regardless.

Rocket was glad to hear that the place had an internet connection. It made him feel a little more comfortable with being away from home for a little while if he could easily keep in touch with his friends and just play it off like he’d decided to take a spontaneous vacation and go backpacking for a bit or something.
