She repeated the gesture before getting another idea. She moved to scratch behind his ear before dragging her nails down and back to reach between his shoulders.
“We don’t have to go any further than this if you don’t want to,” she murmured, nuzzling at him sweetly. “But I won’t regret things if they go further.”
It was more than evident from his reactions that Vaughn had been entirely touch starved his whole life, the slight whine that escaped him completely involuntary and causing him to blush sheepishly.
“I just want… Sorry, I don’t know how to explain it without sounding like a weirdo.” he murmured, fighting the urge to blurt out that he felt like he wanted to rub his face against her skin because she smelled good and he couldn’t describe why he felt like he needed to do that.
“You’re not going to sound like a weirdo to me,” she promised, nuzzling at him again. She knew wolf instinct well enough but only becauss it had never been beaten out of her.
As if to seal her words, she kissed him again. A few times. Each one soft and sweet and lingering.
