“Jack came from the same bloodline as you. He has the same parents as your dad and he’s not a killer. And before you point out that the reason for that is because Chance tried to force him into it, that’s exactly the same kind of situation with Zeke.” he pointed out, knowing it was the best damn example he had to work with right now, since even Manson was still techncially a killer.

“Just because there might be a genetic predisposition to something, doesn’t mean that has to dictate whether or not a person can choose to be more than their dna says they should be.”

“Manson was forced into it and she still kills. I was going to go more along the lines of my grandfather went too far in breaking Jack. For some, it is nature, no matter how it became that.”

He wanted to point out that he hadn’t gotten that choice, but he knew it would just circle back around and nothing would get anywhere. It bothered Jeff still that this is what he had become and he wasn’t sure he could keep doing it forever. Eventually he’d snap like his dad or grandfather had and he just hoped like hell that Ollie and the kids weren’t near him when it happened.
