“You want someone to throw them off her trail? Because I definitely know a guy who can manage that.” Kai absolutely had the skills to make it look like someone had shown up anywhere in the world.

“I don’t think they’d be able to get to her even if they found where she’s at. The person I sent her to has hellhounds for pets.” Those things scared the fuck out of him, but he trusted them to keep his sister safe. “I don’t know too many hunters willing to take on an exiled demon.” His dad might be that stupid, but he doubted anyone else in the family would try it.

Dominic shrugged his remark off, still trying to put up a wall and deny he’d let it slip in the first place.

“Guess it’s just a perspective thing?”

“When it’s something you’re born as, all you know, it’s easy.”

He knew his mother didn’t feel the same, but she had been bitten, not born. But they were hardly on speaking terms.

“But avoiding the shitty stuff doesn’t do anything to stop it either. Which is indirectly contributing to it all,” she countered.

“Look, we’re not going to see eye to eye on this. I’ve seen too much shit and you’ve still got on those metaphorical rose tinted glasses.” And she damn sure wasn’t about to spill her childhood trauma.

Schedule for the Week

Tonight I will be on from around 8pm to 11pm (EST) at the absolute latest.

Saturday: I will be on from 5pm til Midnight (EST) at the latest

Sunday: From 3pm to 10pm (EST) a the latest.

This is because I’m pulling mostly day shifts. Queue will be running the entire time, it posts twice thrice daily. I will be around messenger for chatting and plotting, I’ll probably also post some memes (most of which will probably also be queued).

Parker caught her when she stumbled a little, making sure he was well within reach for Sable to grab onto him more fully.

“No worries,” he answered with a warm smile, happy to help.

She leaned in and stole a quick kiss before heading towards the building, her earlier playfulness seeming to vanish, replaced by an encroaching sense of dread. She hated physical therapy.

“Robots, I guess?”

If Zeke was honest, neither sounded particularly interesting to him on the surface, but Gwen’s enthusiasm had him at least trying to cooperate, even if it was just to please her and show gratitude that she was even making the effort in the first place.

She beamed at him before digging out two different movies. If he liked the first one, she figured he would love the second since Judgement Day was way better to start with.

“I would just skip the first one and show you T-2 because it’s way better, but it’s sort of necessary to watch the first one.”

“Nah, I’m good, thanks. I mean, I don’t know when I’ll be coming back if I do, so probably not a good idea to lend things to me if there’s a chance you might not get them back.

Not that Lex had any definite intention of not coming back, a small sense of reluctance to even leave becoming apparent to him, though he kept it to himself for now, needing to just take a step back from things so he could reassess the situation and make a more informed decision before he committed to anything either way. One thing he had noticed though now that the initial shock and anxiety of being confronted had settled and Lex was calmer, was that Deveraux had been shirtless the entire time they’d been talking, and the Lex caught himself feeling momentarily flustered when he realised.

“Didn’t say it was going to be one of my jackets,” he joked, giving him a grin and a wink.

He spun the key ring on his finger before disappearing down the hall to his room. The door was left open as he dug out a shirt and walked back to where he had left Lex, pulling the shirt on as he moved.

“Ready?”
