Kellen just shrugged again. It was bad enough that it had taken so long that his own relationship with his dad had completely disintegrated before he could stand up to Jeri. Sera had even less footing on that ground than he did.

“Still think seeing you would do her some good,” he added before his arms snaked comfortably around Kellen’s waist. He knew he didn’t miss his dad, but Orion doubted the other was happy with not seeing his momma.

Rocket wasn’t sure what he’d been expecting as far as where the pack lived, but any scenario probably would have been a surprise to him.

Sure, it was far different from living in an apartment in the city, surrounded by skyscrapers and the constant sound of traffic and other noise, but it seemed kinda nice, even if it was a little more rural than he was used to.

It wasn’t until they were past the first cabin did Delia really seem to relax. It didn’t matter how far she traveled or how long she was away, this place was just home and that was that.

“I can get ya settled in one of the smaller cabins or I can take you to meet Arkos first. Your choice.”

“Already near impossible to get you outta bed.” He ruffled her hair, ruining the mature facade she was trying to make and getting a squawk of indignation. “Hows about i teach you how to summon your phone and you forget about archaic hellhound transformations?”

“Maybe… “

“Throw in a trip to the next zoo we find?” He held out a hand, she looked it over then nodded, grabbing it and exaggeratedly shaking.

“But I still get to meet the nice dog, right?” Harley turned back to Cord.

“Yeah, you can still meet Bethy. She’ll probably fuss about you and play with your hair,” Cord warned with a wink, gesturing around the kitchen.

“Feel free to help yourselves to whatever food ya want. Keep the place pretty well stocked. Or I can cook, don’t really matter much to me.”

Muse Stats: Dallas

Name: Dallas Arden
Face:

What: Phoenix
Duties: Not fucking dying
Age: appears mid 20′s
Sexuality: Pansexual
Talents:  Full body regeneration

Dallas is as close to an orphan as one can get with both of her parents still being alive. When she and her sister were children (she was 14 and her sister was just a baby), they were pretty much abandoned in different locations and she’s spent her entire life trying to find what happened to Dayton.

foxofthewildhunt:

“But can people really redeem themselves? Come on. Once a guy who takes pot shots at a kid always a guy who takes pot shots at a kid.” Mason smirked and sort of danced in his seat. “Alright, guess you’re along for the ride whether you wanna be or not then, huh? Or at least following the aftermath. Should probably know your name don’t you think?”

“You would be surprised.” She had seen it enough times to believe in it. Only the furies could pass judgement on whether a person could be redeemed or not and even that was becoming increasingly more questionable with the state of the world. “…Avalon.”

babyitsmagic:

“That doesn’t sound like an upside to me. Not all people suck, you know.” She knew that many did, but she still liked people more often than not. “And that seems like a really small perk. I think the cons are winning here.”

“Not everyone is a sunny ball of people person like you,” he pointed out, the words a little muffled around the food. He had never quite learned not to talk with his mouth full. “Says you.”
