“I need to clean up all this blood before Jeri comes back.” she breathed, holding his gaze.
“So you should probably go soon unless you want to help me?”
Sera knew Chance would unlikely be willing to clean up his mess and patch her up before he left, so she needed a little extra time to do it herself.
Instead of answering, he shifted to put pressure on the wound, his eyes going empty once more. He didn’t really like being told he should go. Especially when he knew she was right. If Jericho caught him there, it was all over.
