“Bubblegum is disgusting. You’re ridiculous.” He snorted a laugh at her comment. “Sounds like something that the world could use, honestly.”
“You’re disgusting,” she countered, pouting slightly at him. “Given the current state of things? He’d have my vote.”
Teddy knew it was getting late, and as sleepy as he might have been, he wouldn’t let himself actually do so, as he was planning to leave as soon as Aislynn was out enough to not be disturbed if he moved so that he wouldn’t risk her hunter father finding a half naked boy asleep in his daughters bed and put a bullet in him.
It was barely five minutes later before her muscles relaxed and her breathing deepened. She hadn’t meant to just pass out on him, but she had been awake since 5am and couldn’t help it. The thought of getting caught had been the farthest thing from her mind, her focus having been solely on how comfortable of a pillow he was.
“It’s okay. I don’t mind.” He murmured, feeling a little sleepy himself as he continued curling the strand of hair around his fingertips, a smirk spreading across his lips at the sound of her purring like an actual cat.
“Okay,” she mumbled, nuzzling a him again. She was just out of it enough to not realize she was doing it. Normally, she fell asleep around 11 or so, but she didn’t even know what time it was anymore.
Teddy could tell she’d fall asleep on him if he let her, and he didn’t particularly object to that idea, daring to play with a strand of her hair as they lay there.
A faint purr escaped her and she rubbed her cheek against his shoulder. It was getting harder to open her eyes after she blinked.
“If I fall asleep, I’m sorry.”
“Duly noted,” he purred, wiggling just a little to get comfortable before he settled, one arm hooked casually around her.
“In that case, I accept.”
His arm around her had her snuggling against him, forever more of a cat than a girl when she was sleepy.
“Good.”
