“You’re the only things keeping me sane,” he admitted quietly.
He knew it didn’t help anything holding onto it, but he wasn’t ready to just let it go yet. It was one of the flaws of what he was; as deep as he loved, the harder it was for him to heal from betrayal, especially when he only hated Tass because he still loved him.
“I don’t think I’d last five minutes right now if I lost any of you.”
She smiled sadly and cupped his face in her hands, making him look at her in the most gentle way she could think of.
“You’re not going to lose us. Me and Kat? We’re not going anywhere. And if we did go anywhere, we’d be dragging you with us. She’s always loved you and we both know I’m not the walking away type because I don’t stop loving people either. You’re not going to lose us.”
