“Seems like a waste of a bullet since they’ll probably just arrange a new marriage for you.” This situation was getting less appealing by the moment, impressive when one considered how unappealing it had been from the start.

“Not if I keep shooting everyone they try to pull this shit with.” She had no doubt that they would, eventually, get tired of her killing people. After all, who would want to keep cleaning that mess up?

louisianalostones:

“Just because they happen for a reason, doesn’t mean I have to like them. Shitty things are still shitty, even if they eventually lead to good.” And they’d both had plenty of shitty things in their lives, even if Lyri didn’t dwell on them much.

“Say what you want, Jas, but he did stick around for Lin. And he calmed Tru down on more than one occasion,” she reminded him gently, nudging at him.

That static magic crackled up around him again. “They wont know. Even Benji wouldn’t let that happen to her, he’d get to records, make me vanish before he let that happen.”

“Not that easy. Especially with the internet. Is that really the sort of legacy you want to leave on the shoulders of a child?”

foxofthewildhunt:

He stared at her for a second, that irritating grin dropping, he hadn’t really thought of Tabitha. “Yeah. I do.” He blinked a few times and shook his head, the smile returned. “Hey, my old man had a family too, didn’t stop him pissing off the wrong people and keeling over when I was a kid. She’ll be fine. Hell, she’ll be better. And this is a buzzkill topic, just so you know.”

“Until the entire world finds out her daddy’s a serial killer and she’s completely ostracized for it.” She had seen it happen far too many times and it was enough to make her want to punch him in the throat.

“I have to try. I can’t go back until I know what I’m dealing with.”

If Epiales had nothing to use against wraiths, Jack probably had even less. Sure he was part keres, but it wasn’t like anyone had given him a guidebook on how that would help or hinder him in the current situation.

He nodded and gestured for Jack to lead the way. He wished he would have called his aunt first, or even one of his other siblings, one of the ones that knew would get word back to one of the more responsible members of the family.

“my ex said something about it being a ‘bad example’“ He added airquotes and everything, “Didn’t want me calling the bike her and she around the kid. Mols isn’t much happier I called him a power bottom round her once either.” Mason held the door open for Ava. “She said I’m the one riding him, so it didn’t work.”

You have a kid?” He was going around killing people and was a parent? She honestly hated people like that because the kid always ended up paying for those crimes down the line. “Are you a complete fucking dick? Or is this an over compensation thing?”

foxofthewildhunt:

“Me too, but the new boy, he’s bringing me around, you know.” He laughed, “And I didn’t use to be one for murdering people. Funny how your hobbies and interests change. You wanna come see the bike at least? Might not be your standard but it’s nice.”

“And here I thought most vehicles were girls.” Her car was, had a name and all, but she was trying not to bond with the witch. “I’m thousands of years old, darlin’, that ain’t gonna change any time soon.”
