“My family are Greek. The Fates aren’t really something I can ignore, especially when my grandma is on first name terms with them,” he admitted a little sheepishly. “It’s okay if you don’t believe in that stuff though. Nobody is obligated to believe anything that isn’t part of their own culture.”
He paused for a moment, looking like he was considering something.
“Hey, you wanna see something cool?”
“Wait, what?” She hadn’t been raised among any kind of faith and, honestly, she had never given much thought to what she believed in. But she could turn into a large cat, so who was she to say he was lying?
Her head tilted slightly, curious and worried all at once.
