Isaac wanted to answer the girl, but he was still having trouble finding the ability to speak. Instead, he dipped his head slightly in a submissive, somewhat apologetic gesture and hoped that she read it as a sign he had no intention of causing her any harm and as an invitation to come closer.
As an additional gesture, he scooted over slightly, even though there was already a good amount of space for her to sit if she wanted to.
She didn’t really understand the head gesture, her own tipping to the side like a confused puppy. Learning the physical cues from other wolves was something her and the rest of the kids were still learning.
When he moved over on the bed though, she did venture a little further into the room, but her own body language was tight and hesitant, prepared to bolt. She was sort of wishing that she would have let Vaughn come in with her, but she was wearing one of his shirts and it helped a little.
