A grin spraweld before Rhys could top it. Heaving a sigh, as if what he was going to do next would be a chore, he pushed off the post. “Well that’s good, at least. C’mon, let’s, Ah dunno, get you a beer or – or some goat’s blood or whatever,” he headed into the house, leaving it open for his friend.

Then had to double back, and drag his heel through the line of salt at the door.

“Whoops, almost forgot…” Rhys chuckled. “C’mon in, fill me in on what all’s gone on since you were last around. Oh and,” he thumbed up towards the ceiling. “You wake up the kid, you get to read her bedtime stories.”

His eyes rolled at the comments, but he followed after him, not at all deterred by the joke. “Ya know I don’ drink blood an’ home is li’erally in a bar for me,” he pointed out.

The salt line was not really an issue for him, but he wasn’t surprised people forgot that one. At least, the people that knew him enough to know what he was. It was, after all, easy to forget the trickster part.

“On’y half demon, sal’ don’ do shi’ ta me,” he reminded him, grinning a little at the thread. “Think ya’d be ou’a o’ job if I took o’er bedtime stories. How many people ya know tha’ can make the stories come to life?”

Okay, so I’m here for the next like 2 hours. Went and got new glasses and then hung out with my brother and my sister-in-law. Came home and video called grandma to talk to her and see my cousin’s kids (because grandma is trying to get custody of them). So, yeah, I’m here now. Love me and my assholes muses
