Kellen would have been insulted if he didn’t see Chance’s point. He was hardly the first person anyone would call for help, let alone Azrael, so maybe Chance was right, as much as Kellen would hate to admit it.
“Alright,” he conceded sullenly, backing off. “Should I call anyone else, or…?”
The question irritated him a little, but he didn’t let on to it. Honestly, Chance thought the answer was so painfully obvious that Kelle should have just called Dae in the first place instead of running off on his own.
“His brother or sister. Surely you have at least Sapphira’s number given her entanglement with Mort.”
