His brows went up at that. “Oh, I know how to joke. But when did you learn?”
“I am old. Did you really think I had no sense of humor?” Sure, his idea of funny was a lot darker than most people’s, but that didn’t mean he lacked the ability to joke.

“I’m not asking you to crack a safe, dude. I just need you– or literally anyone who won’t fuck it up– to cause a small diversion. What’s the worst that could happen?”
“All I know are you and other wolves and I am putting myself, or them, in a position that could involve cops because cops lead to hunters and silver bullets. Hunters that won’t hesitate to shoot a wolf just because we’re not human.”
3. what was the worst thing in your character’s life?
It’s a toss up between dying/going to hell and finding out her eldest son also ended up in hell.
Frey realised she hadn’t ever really let anyone be around her like this, especially after a shift, aside from a few of the pack when she was still learning control and Arkos had told her that it would help, and she noticed that she felt a lot calmer for it for once.
It wasn’t long before she was yawning again, wriggling a little to snuggle up even more into the warmth of Dyson’s body.
He moved his arm for a moment to grope blindly for a blanket. Sure, in the summer, it was hot as hell at the bar, but in the winter it was damn cold. Once he had it tugged up over them, he wrapped around her again, breathing in her scent and relaxing completely.
3. what was the worst thing in your character’s life?
Most of it? He’s entire shtick is pushing people to commit murder. He’s the one that pushed Chance over that edge after all/
8. how many friends does your character have?
Uhhh…I mean, there’s Ava and then Kitty and that’s pretty much it. Chance might have counted if Chance was capable of having friends and Aima didn’t think he was a creepy little fuck
12. what are your character’s major flaws?
He pushes buttons a little too much and can’t seem to stop.
Even after she’d eaten all the food, she damn well licked her plates clean after before she was done, her tongue still darting out to catch any missed morsels around her mouth.
She seemed a lot more relaxed and comfortable now she’d had something to eat and she crawled closer when he lay down, resting her head on his arm with a contented sigh.
Dyson curled around her and nuzzled his face into her fur. She was warm and he was comfortable, he stood no chance of staying awake for long under these circumstances.
It smelled so good, Frey already trying to sniff at it even before Dyson had put the plates down with how hungry she was, and with the canine side in control, manners pretty much went out the window as she started wolfing down a strip of bacon almost without chewing it, her tail wagging in approval of his cooking skills regardless of whether he thought Jesse was better at it than he was.
He laughed a little as she wolfed down her food before he began smothering all of his own with syrup. Even the eggs and toast got the same treatment, the trickster part of him taking over.
It didn’t take him long to eat and once all the plates were clear, he piled them up gently and set them aside before flopping over sideways in her bed. “Stomach too full. Gonna burst.”
12. what are your character’s major flaws?
She has no concept of personal space and despite being an adult, she is still so painfully childish in her mannerisms and ideals.
13. what does your character pretend or try to care about?
Nothing. Bethy has such a childlike innocence that she doesn’t really know how to pretend to care or not care.
14. how does the image your character tries to project differ from the image they actually project?
She tries to come off as completely human at times, but with her red eyes, sort of skin crawling aura, and complete puppy-ish demeanor, she fails horridly.
15. what is your character afraid of?
Losing her home and the people she cares for. This goes double for Jake because she will always see him as her pup.
Frey made a “boof” sound and stretched, making it obvious that now she was up on the bed and comfortable, there was no way in hell she was moving anywhere else for a good long while.
Even for a coyote, she was a little on the small side, taking up about the same amount of space as an average sized Siberian husky or golden retriever, leaving plenty of room on the bed for Dyson to sprawl out next to her.
Even though she was shifted, he had put all of her food on plates too. There wasn’t anything anyone could have said to deter him from still making her plate look good.
He plopped down on the edge of the bed and sat her plates in front of her before scooting until his back hit the wall. It was easier to have his own plates on his lap like that.
“I’m not as good a cook as J, but it should still be edible.”
2. what was the best thing in your character’s life?
Luc and Tal. Those two kids are his entire world and there is nothing he won’t do to protect them.
4. what seemingly insignificant memories stuck with your character?
Ava teaching him how to write so he could make his dad a note to wake up to because he thought it would make Hypnos happy.
6. what is your character reluctant to tell people?
That he has kids. It’s mostly out of a desire to protect them, especially Taylse because she’s such a sweet puppy.
