It was hard for Teddy to stay in control and not get carried away, but he gave himself a little more length on the leash to work with when Aislynn seemed like she wanted it.

He deepened the kiss almost feverishly, his own hands sliding almost greedily over her curves as he pulled her against him.

A small whine escaped her, the sound nearly swallowed by his lips on hers. Any sense of hesitation she had was out the window, her rational though melted beneath the way he touched her. One leg hooked over his hip as she tried to press herself closer.

The clothing was beginning to irritate her more than anything and it showed when she grabbed a handful of his shirt and tugged hard enough to make the fabric tear.

Nerissa wasn’t consciously aware of it, but she could sense Blake getting sleepy and it was starting to have a slight effect on her too as she struggled to stifle a yawn, the soft feel of fur under her fingertips relaxing her all the more, even though she didn’t want to sleep again yet.

Cayden had already flopped back, his head resting against his dad’s leg. The warmth of the room combined with the sound of Blake purring was pulling him under pretty quickly.

His brows furrowed together, looking at Cian with genuine confusion in his eyes. “Why? ‘s not like it changes much’a anythin’. I ain’t the parentin’ type, dude. You know that. An’ like… I’m not gonna let her do it all herself, but I don’ think anyone’s gonna want me ‘round that kid more than necessary.”

The words offered a little relief, but not much. The fact that it sounded like Tru was keeping the kid meant he would probably never see her again. “Didn’t think she was either but she ain’t returned a single call in weeks.”

“I don’t like it either.” she smiled, catching that faintest trace in his gaze that she decided was about as close to warmth as he could get.

Holding out her hand, she couldn’t help the smile turn into a full-on grin. sure, there were family members who would think she was out of her damn mind for even being with him, let alone marrying him, but Sera didn’t give a fuck about that.

“Liar.” His lips curved in a smile, but it was one of the rare ones that touched his eyes. It didn’t give them the same sparkle it would anyone elses’, but it was still as sincere as he could get.

The ring slid over her finger, fitting perfectly. He had stolen one of her other rings prior, wanting to make sure it wouldn’t need to be resized or anything. Some times, his more obsessive traits payed off.

“The inside of the band is engraved as well.”
