Ollie opted for a shower. It was quicker and he wasn’t hurt enough that he couldn’t at least get through that before he needed to rest again. Besides, taking a bath would just have him sitting in blood-tinged water for too long with his thoughts and he didn’t really want to face those right now. At least with a shower, it meant he could get dressed sooner and hide his injuries from view, even from himself so he could repair his walls of denial.
When he was done, he stripped off the gloves but kept staring at them in his hands. He preferred to be alone with his guilt, but he knew Ollie needed more than that.
“Do…do you want me to stay?” he asked quietly, sounding a little unsure.
