Ollie opted for a shower. It was quicker and he wasn’t hurt enough that he couldn’t at least get through that before he needed to rest again. Besides, taking a bath would just have him sitting in blood-tinged water for too long with his thoughts and he didn’t really want to face those right now. At least with a shower, it meant he could get dressed sooner and hide his injuries from view, even from himself so he could repair his walls of denial.

When he was done, he stripped off the gloves but kept staring at them in his hands. He preferred to be alone with his guilt, but he knew Ollie needed more than that.

“Do…do you want me to stay?” he asked quietly, sounding a little unsure.

mythsandmonsters:

He couldn’t argue with her any longer about it. Ollie knew damn well that Luna was right, whether he liked it or not, and that once she set her mind to doing something, there was very little chance of talking her out of it, especially when it was something as serious as this.

Ollie had no idea exactly how his dads would react, but the possibilities all scared the hell out of him and even now his first thought was to warn Jeff that people were going to find out soon and Ollie couldn’t stop it.

“I just can’t keep seeing you like this, Ollie…” Her tone was desperate as she tried to get him to understand that. There were nights that she wasn’t sleeping at all because of the worry over him and the way it contributed to her nightmares.

mythsandmonsters:

“Yeah,” Ollie mumbled, trying to brace himself for it as best he could.

It was only a short distance to the bathroom, but enough of one that it was impossible not to cause him even a little pain in getting there, but it would be over quick enough either way.

He was as gentle as he could manage, but he knew it wasn’t enough. It was never enough. Once he had the coyote settled, he turned to the sink and began to scrub his hands and arms so he could put on a clean pair of gloves.

The routine of stitching him up was easier to focus on. It was something they had done enough that neither of them needed to speak, so Jeff let the silence linger while he worked.

“Can you stand long enough for a shower or would a bath be better?”

mythsandmonsters:

“Please, don’t…”

Ollie was sobbing uncontrollably now, barely even able to get the words out. He would have promised to find a way to fix things or do it himself, but they both knew it would be a lie.

He knew there was no way out of the mess he’d gotten himself into without it ending badly in some way or where he’d want to escape by any means necessary, but if he could buy himself a little more time, maybe he could at least try to prepare himself for the fallout.

“I still have nightmares of my daddy dead in our yard and my momma screaming when they burned her alive, Ollie. I am not adding you to my nightmares. You can hate me all you want for it, but I am not going to let you die over this.”

She was tired of seeing him broken down and hurt from whatever Jeff was doing to him and she just saw no other options anymore. She had tried to keep his secrets, she really had, but even she could see that it was getting worse.

mythsandmonsters:

Ollie nodded in acknowledgement, the movement making him notice he had a slight headache, which he could only assume was a remnant left over from when Jeff had thrown him against the wall, and he hoped it wasn’t a sign of a more problematic injury that might need a hospital visit.

He rubbed his wrists a little, trying to ease away the lingering cramped feeling in them from being in the cuffs all night and the awkward sleeping position they’d forced him in to.

Jeff took the medical supplies into the other room first before coming back and hesitating at the side of the bed. He didn’t want to hurt Ollie any further than he already had but he had no idea how to lift him without causing discomfort.

“You ready?”

mythsandmonsters:

The coyote knew he needed stitches the moment he tried to sit up to look at Jeff, the pain immediately forcing him to lie back down and stay still, breathing hard til it subsided.

Part of him was glad that Jeff was himself again, but mostly he was just exhausted, both mentally and physically, so he didn’t waste much energy trying to talk for now and just waited for Jeff to fix him.

Jeff flinched when he noticed the pain Ollie was in. It wasn’t going to be fun moving him to the bathroom to get him cleaned up and patched up, but it still had to be done.

“I have to move you.. I’m sorry,” he mumbled, glad his tub had a good ledge on it to rest Ollie on.

baby meme – Rhys and Maddy cuz I know you’re angling for it XD

  • Name: Kasondra
  • Gender: female
  • General Appearance: naturally dark hair like her father but she dyes it brighter colors. Her eyes are the same as her maternal grandmother’s
  • Personality: Bubbly, a little quirky, not nearly as rebellious as her sister was.
  • Special Talents: She definitely took after Rhys in terms of which species is more dominant, but she can shift when she wants to
  • Who they like better: Rhys
  • Who they take after more: Neither really.
  • Personal Head canon: With how sweet she is, it’s very easy for her to get people to let her snack on them, so she doesn’t rely on blood bags nearly as much as she probably should.
  • Face Claim: Amanda Arcuri

“Willow’s still…” Nicer was the wrong word. “…better with people.” Not by much, maybe, but Casey didn’t really do human interaction when she could avoid it. At least Willow had friends. “Your taste is shit.”

“The only person she hangs around is a werewolf that she’s fucking,” Eulalia pointed out, eyes rolling as made herself at home. “Are you calling yourself shit? Because that’s not very kind.”

Jeff – 2, 10, 16 – 19

  • Their emotional/moral weak spots

When he’s in a normal head space, it’s what he does when he’s in a near mental black out. The first few times it happened, he had no memory of what he had done at all. Now it’s all just hazy, like a bad nightmare when he comes to. But, pointing out what he’s doing in those states makes him break down because he honestly hates himself for it.

  • Fears/phobias

He’s terrified of becoming Chance and he fights it as much as he personally can.

  • Dark secrets/’skeletons in the closet

He was 15 the first time he saw someone die. They were drowning and instead of getting help, he just watched.

  • Regrets

Everything he puts Ollie through. He doesn’t regret it as much as he should, but he regrets it as much as he’s actually capable of.

  • Things they’ll never admit

That things would be easier if he just gave into his nature. He’s afraid that if he admits it, he’ll give in and it won’t be pretty.

  • People they’ve hurt or indirectly killed, and how it affected them

For weeks after he watched someone drown, he was conflicted about it. On one hand, there was the deep set guilt that he should have done something, anything to help. On the other, it excited (in more ways than one) him to watch them struggle to stay above the water. It is what initially pushed him to get into med school though, even if he barely goes to class anymore.
