Day: January 18, 2018
Azrael nodded slowly, considering how much thought it was becoming apparent Chance had actually put into the whole thing.
“I think the fact alone that you’re making an effort and being considerate about it is something Sera will appreciate, even if I still don’t know what exactly it is she see’s in you, but whatever it is, it’s better than what you used to be, and I mean that as a compliment, as strange as that is for either of us.”
Chance stuffed the ring box back into his pocket, jaw clenched painfully tight. He wasn’t sure what Azrael was trying to say and he wasn’t entirely sure he wanted to know, largely because he just wanted to hit something. This was the closest to vulnerable he had been around his step-father since he was a child and Az had been trying to connect with him.
“She stays because we had a deal,” he answered sharply. They both knew that was probably true, but Chance was hoping that if she said yes that it would be proof that it was more than just because of their arrangement.
[text: Lewis] Been a while since my last visit, but I do know it. [/text]
Delaine would have usually chosen a bar or somewhere else that operated mostly at night, but the cafe would certainly serve the purpose of meeting up well enough and its location did hold a little sentimentality for him personally.
[text: Delaine] If you’re not busy, I could be there in about forty-five minutes.
It was a little rash, sure. If he were human, he’d say it was downright suicidal, but he doubted it would be someone that knew exactly what it took to actually kill him.
Aima – 2, 5, 11, 14
- what was the best thing in your character’s life?
Kitty. He’s never had anyone to actually be close to. Mostly because his brothers are worse than he is and most of the family find the Phonoi to be terrible company.
- does your character work so they can support their hobbies or use their hobbies as a way of filling up the time they aren’t working?
He worked as a hitman for a while and he was involved in the mob when it was the big thing in the US. He definitely gained a good bit of money from all of that and he invested it all. The closest thing to a hobby he has is painting and even that is sparingly.
- for what would your character give their life?
Kitty is the only thing that comes to mind and even that’s a little uncertain. While he has definitely grown attached to her, it’s still a little early to tell.
- how does the image your character tries to project differ from the image they actually project?
It really doesn’t differ much. He’s a little lonely and he covers that pretty well, but that’s about it.
Arkos – 5, 7, 12, 15
- does your character work so they can support their hobbies or use their hobbies as a way of filling up the time they aren’t working?
He’s very good with woodcarving. His grandfather taught him how to when he was a kid and it’s something that helps him feel calm when he gets too stressed out.
- how does your character feel about sex?
He definitely enjoys it but it’s been a very long time since he’s been with anyone physically. He is a very monogamous person and only sleeps with people he feels deeply connected to
- what are your character’s major flaws?
He overworks himself and has a bad habit of forgetting to take care of himself. All of his focus is usually on Bradan or the pack and sometimes it’s easy to see that.
- what is your character afraid of?
The pack being decimated. He’s seen it happen to other packs and he is absolutely terrified of anyone hurting any members of his. He’s also a little afraid of grizzly bears.
Bradan – 1, 3, 4
- what would completely break your character?
Losing the pack or being kept from shifting. Being a wolf is a huge part of his identity and the pack is family and his home.
- what was the worst thing in your character’s life?
When his grandmother passed. He never got the chance to know his mother, but he adored his grandmother and it broke his heart when she succumbed to illness
- what seemingly insignificant memories stuck with your character?
His dad singing to him in Gaelic when he was a toddler. Whenever he was sick or having a hard time sleeping, his dad would sing to him to calm him enough for him to sleep
Cayden – 1, 5, 7, 12
- what would completely break your character?
Losing his dad again is a big one. Losing Nissy, Lilah, Blake, and the kids would utterly destroy him.
- does your character work so they can support their hobbies or use their hobbies as a way of filling up the time they aren’t working?
His hobby is sleeping and he takes it very seriously. Of course, his duties are also linked to him sleeping, so it’s sort of a win/win for him
- how does your character feel about sex?
He enjoys it because, for him, it’s all about closeness as well as pleasure. The only people he’s ever been with are people he loves deeply.
- what are your character’s major flaws?
He’s damn near comatose when asleep and he’s not always the best with communication.
Chance – 1, 2, 4, 11, 13, 15
- what would completely break your character?
Sera being taken away from him. Brittia disowning him came pretty damn close, but Sera is the one thing that gives him any stability. Without her, he would devolve very rapidly and it would not be pretty.
- what was the best thing in your character’s life?
His almost freedom. Sure, he has rules that he absolutely has to follow now, but they’re a lot better than the time he spent chained up in the underworld.
- what seemingly insignificant memories stuck with your character?
The first time he saw blood up close. He was about five and with his uncle. They had come across a crime scene and Chance had ducked under the caution tape, wanting to play in the blood.
The other one that really stands out is Azrael making him a blanket fort when he was little and trying to calm him down. His mother had had to go to work and he had freaked out at being without her for the first time and Az had tried to calm him down. He doesn’t mention it ever, but he remembers it clearly. It was one of the first memories he really has of Az.
- for what would your character give their life?
Maybe Teddy, Sera, Britt, or Manson. That’s pushing it pretty hard, but those are the only ones that come even remotely close
- what does your character pretend or try to care about?
Sera is the main one. He’s never really pretended to care much about anything else and it really shows with his kids. He’s capable of feeling possessive and obsessive, but beyond that, he doesn’t possess the capacity to truly care. But he does try for Sera.
- what is your character afraid of?
Being entirely alone and in chains again. That is the only thing that has ever invoked a fear response in him and he would rather not go through that again.
Chayton – 2, 5, 8, 10
- what was the best thing in your character’s life?
His kids. He never really expected to have any and he loves those two boys with everything he is.
- does your character work so they can support their hobbies or use their hobbies as a way of filling up the time they aren’t working?
He doesn’t really need money. Being half trickster, he can pretty much pull off anything, including convincing people that he’s giving them real money and not just rocks and shit
- how many friends does your character have?
Only a couple from the bar. He doesn’t really stay anywhere else long enough to get attached to anyone.
- what would your character make a scene in public about?
Not much, honestly. Sexual assault or child abuse are about the only two and even then, he’s more likely to grab the victim and just poof out with them.
