“Just tell Cord I got a shifter in full silver anaphylaxis in need of full IV work up and I’ve only got a crash kit to hand right now. Tell Leland to grab a portable nebulizer and oxygen supply, but get Cord here now because if I don’t intubate that kid in the next couple of minutes, there ain’t gonna be a kid to save, and that’s going to be a challenge on its own since I can’t put him flat on his back.”
Eli felt like he was barking orders, which he didn’t like, but there wasn’t time to be polite. He needed to at least stop Gabriel’s airway closing up to lower the risk of oxygen starvation and cardiac arrest, or they’d have double the shit to deal with.
Ava didn’t answer as she merely vanished on the spot and repeated what Eli told her to Cord. It didn’t take Cord long to gather what he needed. He grabbed what they needed the absolute most and told her she could bring Leland back through to grab the rest.
Ava hadn’t gotten the chance to tell him it was Gabriel so when they got back to the house, Cord froze up for a moment. But he swallowed back the shot and started pulling out what they needed while Ava left to fetch Leland, passing Kori on the way up the stairs.
