“Can’t take a joke?” A smirk curled the guys lips. “What a shame. I was actually excited to meet you. Thought I could have a new partner in crime.”
“I wouldn’t call you funny.” The other’s words only bothered him more and his anything close to emotion slipped from his eyes. “I’ve never heard of you so the feeling and thoughts are not mutual. We are closed. You can leave.”
“Are you done now or will we need to go through this again?” Robert wasn’t stupid but he was stubborn and Yin wasn’t sure this would be enough to get him to behave.
“Get it off of me,” he hissed, his voice lacking some of the initial bite as he tried to ride out the way the muscles in his throat were twitching.
His eyes flashed black and he let the magic of the collar do its thing, shocking him as he went for the swing. The punch still landed on his jaw but this was hardly the first time Robert had punched him. It still hurt and had him taking a step back to maintain his balance, but it was nothing new.
The pain was a sudden shock and his hands immediately went to the collar as if that could quell it even a little. He had not been expecting that one. Although, he really shouldn’t be surprised since it was hardly the first time he had swung at Yin.
Robert only glared, knowing full well that asking nicely wouldn’t work either. Besides, he refused to give Yin anything he wanted without a fight.
“You can go talk to Raquel if you’d like, but you’ll be doing it with the collar on.” He was sure she’d get a kick out of that.
That was the final straw before Robert was taking a swing at Yin. He knew it wasn’t going to end well for himself, but he didn’t really care at this point.
“Try asking nicely,” he responded, doubting that Robert would even consider that a real option. There was too much pride in the other demon for him to cave so easily on… well, any matter.
Robert only glared, knowing full well that asking nicely wouldn’t work either. Besides, he refused to give Yin anything he wanted without a fight.
“Ya’ve never complained about my lines before,” he shot back. His eyes rolled. “I do not and it ain’t happenin’ so this is a waste of what could be a perfectly fun day.”
“Because I was sleeping with you. I didn’t need to be fed lines either though,” she reminded him with a pleasant smile. “Your kind of fun leads to babies unless you get fixed first. Duh.”
