“Yeah, but you’ll probably have to get someone to fix the lock first. It’s electronic, but it’s been busted for a while, or else it wouldn’t be somewhere you could get into in the first place. That, and it needs a power supply.”
The warehouse in question was an old mom-and-pop printworks that wasn’t all that far from his own place, and Denny knew that the owner had passed away a little under a year ago with nobody listed in a will or any relatives to come to claim the property for themselves, so he’d kept an eye on the place, checking to make sure it didn’t end up too decrepit in case he could make use of it himself.
“Depending on the type of lock, I can do it myself.” She was better at breaking in, sure, but that didn’t mean she didn’t know to fix locks.
Lissa gave him a once over, studying him for a moment like she was trying to figure out what his angle was. People didn’t just help others out anymore and it was a little suspicious.
“What do you want out helping me? No one does shit for free.”
