Neither Lyri or Britt have actually forgiven Tass for ditching out. 

For Lyri, she’s trying. She still loves Tass so much, but he left when she needed him the most. Her absolute best friend in the family was clinging to life, the kids were an emotional mess, everything was chaotic and he left. It doesn’t help that she nearly lost not only herself, but Asher because no one knew she was pregnant at the time. 

As for Britt, she refuses to even acknowledge that Tass has returned. A large part of it all is the fact that he was the one that convinced her to give up on the twins, Chance especially. Sure, Az had tried to push her that way too, but they weren’t actually Az’s kids, so she didn’t expect him to understand and it didn’t really surprise her. It was upsetting, sure, but the fact remained. It was because of Tass finally getting her to let go of the twins that Chance turned on her. The fact that Tass just left when she was fighting to survive bothers her to no end and, honestly, she doesn’t really blame Chance for wanting nothing to do with his father either.

“Can’t take a joke?” A smirk curled the guys lips. “What a shame. I was actually excited to meet you. Thought I could have a new partner in crime.”

“I wouldn’t call you funny.” The other’s words only bothered him more and his anything close to emotion slipped from his eyes. “I’ve never heard of you so the feeling and thoughts are not mutual. We are closed. You can leave.”

“Are you done now or will we need to go through this again?” Robert wasn’t stupid but he was stubborn and Yin wasn’t sure this would be enough to get him to behave.

“Get it off of me,” he hissed, his voice lacking some of the initial bite as he tried to ride out the way the muscles in his throat were twitching.

His eyes flashed black and he let the magic of the collar do its thing, shocking him as he went for the swing. The punch still landed on his jaw but this was hardly the first time Robert had punched him. It still hurt and had him taking a step back to maintain his balance, but it was nothing new.

The pain was a sudden shock and his hands immediately went to the collar as if that could quell it even a little. He had not been expecting that one. Although, he really shouldn’t be surprised since it was hardly the first time he had swung at Yin.
